William Gautier Kitchen is an experienced attorney with an extensive background in litigation and prosecution in criminal, civil, employment, civil rights, and administrative law. He has a proven ability to analyze information, identify issues, and communicate ideas in a legal forum within the rules of evidence, procedure, and ethics. He is licensed to practice in Florida and United States District Courts (Northern and Middle Districts).
In his over 20 years of professional experience, he held several positions that required knowledge, skill and expertise. He was the Managing Attorney for Marie A. Mattox, being lead counsel in over 100 federal and state cases. He handled all aspects of litigation in employment and civil rights cases encompassing excessive use of force, discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower, false arrest, and breach of contract.
He was a partner at Ervin, Kitchen & Ervin Law Firm. He worked at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and as a Senior Attorney with The Florida Bar. He worked at the Florida Department of Financial Services, prosecuting over 100 cases. He was Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit.
He graduated Cumberland School of Law Juris Doctorate in 2003. He was on the Dean’s List, named Scholar of Merit, Elected Junior Class Representative, member of the Freshman Trial Team, received Book Award on Civil Procedure.
